is a Speech and Language Pathologist with over 25 years of professional experience.

 

Lisa graduated from Columbia University with a Master of Science in Speech Pathology and currently is in private practice in New York City. Lisa’s work focuses on feeding and speech disorders, providing both therapeutic and diagnostic services for infants and children. 


Lisa is a lecturer for professional enhancement courses as part of Talk Tools speaker bureau. She has professional affiliations with ASHA, the New York State Speech-Language and Hearing Association, and is a teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped. Lisa is licensed in New York.

Lisa is a Certified Oral-Placement Therapist and has special training in:

 

  • Lois Heymann’s Listening Program Sound Fun!. This program develops active listening skills for language and social skill development.

  • Trained in SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) approach which addresses the underlying causes of feeding difficulties through a multidisciplinary approach.

 

  • DTTC (Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing) Trained: this is a motor-based approach designed to improve the brain’s ability to plan and program movements for speech. This technique is designed for children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech.

Maria Ladenheim C.C.C.-S.L.P.

has been a practicing clinician for the last 15 years in New York City, Orlando, and Miami, Florida.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Long Island University, Post. Maria holds certifications through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is state licensed in New York and Florida. She also holds the certificate of Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). 

Maria has worked with children from preschool, elementary, middle, and high school age populations in home care, private practice, special education, and school-based settings. She specializes in treating a range of orofacial myology disorders that often impact tongue placement, tongue thrust, tongue ties, and feeding/swallowing. 

Special training: PROMPT (Level 1 Training), Talk Tools 3-Part Treatment Plan for Oral Placement Therapy training, and Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) training.

Tamara Kaynan M.A., C.C.C.-S.L.P.

With over 20 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist, Tamara brings deep expertise and a compassionate, child-centered approach to her practice. She has supported children from birth through age 21 across a wide range of settings, including home-based early intervention, public and private schools, and a specialized children’s hospital.

Tamara holds a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Plattsburgh State University and a Master’s Degree in Administration & Leadership from Hunter College. She holds certification through the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), is a teacher of the Speech and hearing handicapped (TSHH) and is licensed in New York State.

Throughout her career, Tamara has worked with children with diverse communication and feeding needs, including autism, Down Syndrome, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Developmental Delays, and a variety of speech and language disorders. She is PROMPT-trained and has extensive experience in both myofunctional therapy and feeding therapy, allowing her to provide highly individualized, evidence-based care.

Dedicated to empowering children and families, Tamara strives to make therapy engaging, functional, and supportive— helping each child build confidence, connection, and communication skills that last a lifetime.
